GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ONLINE RESERVATIONS

These General Terms and Conditions regulate the use of the online reservation service provided by Samokov – Borovets AD (Hotel Samokov, Borovets) on the website www.samokov.com. By accessing and using the online reservation system, you confirm that you are aware of these terms and agree to them.

 

1. RESERVATIONS

1.1. Reservations through the online platform are made as follows: The customer selects the desired period, indicates the number of guests – adults/children, and then clicks the “Find a Room” button. The available booking options appear – room type, meals, along with corresponding prices. To calculate the correct price, if there are children, their ages at the time of check-in must be specified. Children are considered those who have not reached the age of 12. Guests aged 12 or over are charged as adults. The process continues by clicking the “Select” button for the chosen room type, followed by clicking “Continue” and filling in personal information – first name, last name, email, contact phone number, entering a comment regarding the reservation, selecting a payment method, agreeing to the general booking conditions, and clicking “Book.”

1.2. Upon completing the reservation, the customer will receive confirmation at the email address provided.

1.3. The reservation is considered valid only after confirmation is received.

 

2. PRICES AND PAYMENT METHODS

Prices in the online system are displayed in the currency chosen by the client and are paid in BGN equivalent at the exchange rate of the Central Bank. Prices include 9% VAT, tourist tax, and hotel insurance. Confirmed reservations and paid amounts are not subject to change in case of new offers.

2.1. Payment by credit/debit card is made via a Virtual POS Terminal of DSK Bank. Accepted card types: debit, credit, and business cards VISA and MasterCard. Transactions are carried out through the security programs MasterCard Identity Check and VISA Secure. For security reasons, the maximum payment amount by card is 8,000 BGN (eight thousand). We do not store bank card details used for payment through the site. At the time of booking, the amount for the reservation will be automatically withdrawn.

2.2. Payment via bank transfer. Please transfer the required amount to the following bank account (in BGN):

Payment must be made no later than the deadline specified in the reservation. The reservation number must be stated as the payment reason. Failure to pay will result in reservation cancellation.

2.3. Payment on-site in cash or by credit/debit card (valid from 20.03 to 30.11).

 

3. CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES

In case of cancellation, change, no-show, or shortening of the stay for an already paid reservation, a penalty fee is charged according to the conditions of the booked price offer. In case of cancellation, the refund is made to the same card used for payment. If a refund is required, all transfer costs are borne by the customer. Refunds are made within a 20-day period from the date of cancellation.

4. PERSONAL DATA

4.1. Hotel Samokov is a data controller under the Data Protection Act and processes the client's personal data to fulfill its obligations in connection with the reservation. Personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.




5. PETS

Pets are not allowed on the premises of Hotel Samokov.

 

6. CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT

Check-in time at Hotel Samokov is after 15:00. Early arrivals will be accommodated based on hotel availability. Check-out time is 12:00. Late check-out after 12:00 must be requested in advance at the reception. Upon confirmation by the hotel, an additional fee will be charged and paid at the hotel reception.

 

7. USE OF INDOOR GARAGE OR OUTDOOR UNGUARDED PARKING

Parking in the indoor garage is subject to a fee payable at reception. Outdoor unguarded parking is available with limited spaces, subject to availability upon arrival. If no parking spaces are available on your arrival day, reception staff will direct you to the nearest public parking.

8. LIABILITY

8.1. The hotel is not liable to the client in case of force majeure circumstances, which may include diseases, epidemics, natural disasters, strikes, military actions, both in Bulgaria and abroad, threatening people’s safety or restricting their mobility, government decisions, interruptions of water, electricity, and other services by external providers, over which the hotel has no control, as well as any other unforeseen or insurmountable event of an extraordinary nature occurring after the reservation, which cannot be avoided by the Hotel or its contractors.

8.2. The hotel is not liable for food and drinks consumed outside the hotel premises.

8.3. The hotel may seek liability from the client in case of any event that may harm the dignity of the hotel staff, the hotel’s reputation, or the hotel’s property.

8.4. The hotel is not liable for any damages suffered by the client during their stay due to criminal actions committed by third parties, including theft of property or luggage.

 

9. FINAL PROVISIONS

9.1. These terms may be updated at any time. Changes take effect from the date of their publication on the website.

9.2. All unresolved issues are governed by the applicable legislation of the Republic of Bulgaria.
